BEMYBABY FILMS was founded in the summer of 2014 by Miguel Ángel Lamata and Vanessa Montfort. She currently owns the audiovisual rights to “Women Who Buy Flowers” around the world.
BEMYBABY FILMS released its first feature film, “Our Lovers” in Spain in 2016, starring Eduardo Noriega, Michelle Jenner, Amaia Salamanca, Gabino Diego and Fele Martinez.
In 2021 we premiere “Héroes: Silencio y Rock & Roll”, a biographical feature film of the legendary rock band Héroes del Silencio, directed by Alexis Morente.
The production company has a team of professionals with audiovisual, theatrical and literary experience that was created with the following objectives:
- Address the production of audiovisual projects, especially feature films and series.
- Tell stories that matter, stories that are always based on the characters and their drama, using humor, understood not only as “that thing that makes us laugh”, but also as “that tool that we use daily to avoid going crazy” (Michael Shurtleff). We have a predilection for comedy, but we will not be closed to other genres.
- Undertake artistically ambitious productions but with reasonable budgets, that export our talent and that do not turn our backs on the public.
- Offer films that help us discover something about ourselves, others and the reality that surrounds us. We believe that we live in a time that also needs a cinema that provides light among so much darkness.
- Direct our films to the public. If a film doesn't have a target audience, it's not for us. That, however, is not incompatible with making risky, brave and innovative works.
- Design projects that are exportable to the international market, which is currently a key element to obtain maximum profitability from a film and the values it tries to disseminate.
